Upcoming drainage works in Church Street

As part of the annual programme of works being undertaken by Operation Resilience, Hampshire County Council will be undertaking drainage investigation works in Church Street from the junction with Drury Lane to Holt End Lane. These works will include jetting and CCTV surveying the existing drainage at the junction of Drury Lane, and trial holes opposite the school.

The works are programmed to start 5th July 2021 and are expected to last for 5 days, during which time the road will be closed in phases between 09:30 to 15:00hrs. The road will be open outside of these hours. For me information visit OneNetwork – https://one.network/?tm=GB122599541

Whilst there is an allowance within the time periods shown above for delays, there may be times when a postponement will be issued at very short notice; based on the latest weather forecasts, this can occur just prior to works commencing. Any significant changes to the scheduled dates will be made clear on the yellow sign boards located at the works limits.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, works will be carried out ensuring safe working practices, and social distancing between site operatives and members of the public are maintained at all times. The appropriate traffic management will be in place to prevent any interaction.

Information signs advising road users of the works will be erected before the start of works. A  letter will be sent to local residents, the school and church, and an email will also be sent to East Hants District Council and Bentworth Parish Council to advise them accordingly.
