Concert at Alton Abbey – July 26th 2019

On Friday 26th July, In Accord Singers will be entertaining the Friends of Alton Abbey in order to support the ongoing fundraising programme. This is a first visit for the choir to this special venue, and possibly the first time the Abbey has hosted a ladies A Cappella group! Based in Guildford, In Accord was formed in 2004 and has around 15 performing singers. They sing a mixture of songs spanning the decades, with most of the musical arrangements being done ‘in-house’.

As part of their performance, the audience will learn how A Cappella singing works, and hear how the parts build up to make the harmonious sound of the full chorus. There may even be some audience participation in harmony singing!

The Concert will start at 7.30pm, in the Abbey Church. There will be a short interval, and the evening will finish with wine and refreshments in the Cloister Garden.
