Planning is well under way for this year’s fete and things are going well! However we are still looking for volunteers to run the obstacle course. If you are able to help with this please can you call me on 561227, otherwise we will need to forgo this activity which is enjoyed by many children. We also need help to set up during the evening of Friday 6th July. If you are able to spare some time we will be on the school field from 6pm and it would be great to see you. Likewise after the fete, if you are able to assist in the clear up we would be very grateful.
We need your help with donations to stock the stalls and members of the fete committee will be coming round knocking on doors during the weekend of 15th and 16th June. If you are not around during that weekend please can you leave any donations in an obvious place for collection.
Bottles
The bottle stall is one of the most popular stalls at the fete and we are very keen to get as many bottles as possible. Any bottle (so long as it is full and unopened!) will be well received.
Chocolate tombola
At the same time as collecting bottles we will also be collecting chocolate and sweets to stock the chocolate tombola. If you are able to donate anything to help this fun stall we would be very grateful.
Book stall
If you have any books you are happy to donate these can be either picked up whilst collecting the above or dropped off at Gardener’s Cottage, Drury Lane. Otherwise please feel free to deliver to the book stall on the day.
With the proceeds of the fete we are keen to support local and national charities as well as other good causes. If you would like anyone to be considered for receiving a donation do please let me know.
Many thanks for your continued support and generosity for this fun village event. We look forward to seeing you there and hopefully the sun will be shining!
