Bentworth Care Group

A huge thank you to all the villagers who have stepped up to volunteer to help friends and neighbours during this stressful time.

The Bentworth Care Group was established just over 30yrs ago primarily to take villagers, unable to get there by other means, to medical and dental appointments. We also where required took our more elderly customers to do shopping and pick up prescriptions.

Since the Coronavirus lockdown the majority of our existing members have been in self isolation and we have had to temporarily suspend our usual format. It has therefore been heart-warming to see the level of support from so many other Villagers for our Community.

When we have returned to a more normal existence it would be really great to have some new members in our regular Care Group. It really isn’t onerous as you are only ‘on duty’ 2 months of the year (to suit you) and we have 3 members on duty each month.

We have a monthly ‘handover’ meeting (with tea, coffee and biscuits!) so it also gives you a chance to meet other like-minded people.

If you would like more information or just to have a chat about it (with no obligation!) please call me on 561281.
