Footpath Across School Field

St Mary’s Bentworth CE Primary School invite you to an information event about re-routing the footpath that crosses the school field. The process is being managed by Hampshire County Council (HCC) and supported by the Diocese Education Department – representatives will be at the meeting. We will explain the proposed route and there will be drawings showing the change. The route will take the footpath around the school field instead of across it, so that it remains open and joins up with the footpath through the churchyard. ...

As has now become customary, on the Spring Bank Holiday, teams from the villages of Bentworth and Lasham gathered at Bentworth Cricket Club to compete in the annual inter village cricket match. Concert at Alton Abbey – July 26th 2019

On Friday 26th July, In Accord Singers will be entertaining the Friends of Alton Abbey in order to support the ongoing fundraising programme. This is a first visit for the choir to this special venue, and possibly the first time the Abbey has hosted a ladies A Cappella group! Based in Guildford, In Accord was formed in 2004 and has around 15 performing singers. They sing a mixture of songs spanning the decades, with most of the musical arrangements being done ‘in-house’. ...

Planning is well under way for this year’s fete and things are going well! However we are still looking for volunteers to run the obstacle course. If you are able to help with this please can you call me on 561227, otherwise we will need to forgo this activity which is enjoyed by many children. We also need help to set up during the evening of Friday 6th July. If you are able to spare some time we will be on the school field from 6pm and it would be great to see you. Likewise after the fete, if you are able to assist in the clear up we would be very grateful. ...
