Bentworth Churchyard

Bentworth Churchyard

Many thanks to all those who kindly gave up a few hours on Saturday 5th Nov to help tidy up the Bentworth Churchyard. About 20 villagers turned up armed with strimmers, mowers, rakes, leaf blowers, loppers, we even had a Mule……though of the wheeled kind! It was fantastic to see so many people and we were able to achieve a great deal in a short time.

Teas, coffee and cakes were supplied to give refreshment and these were gratefully received, allowing for a few minutes rest before we all went back to work! Luckily the sun was shining and this made the morning much more pleasant.

Thanks also to those on the mowing rota for all their hard work throughout the summer keeping the grass cut. If anyone else can spare sometime next year and join the rota then please do not hesitate to contact me.
