Bank Holiday Cricket Match

Bank Holiday Cricket Match

Having suffered under the cosh of our neighbouring village of Lasham for the last two years, it is time to arise, dust off your cricket bats, iron your whites and add a small piece of sandpaper to your pockets to defend our honour. The annual inter-village match will take place, weather permitting, on Bank Holiday Monday 28th May at Bentworth cricket ground from midday.

It will be a T20 fun game, all levels, abilities and ages welcomed. There will be a BBQ and drinks available with proceeds going to the cricket club. Spectators, dogs, benevolent donators, umpires (in no particular order) all very much welcomed.

Please confirm if you can make this to Richard Hill ( at your earliest convenience and we look forward to seeing you for what will hopefully be a warm and fun day with the best side (Bentworth) at last managing to win a game.

With thanks to Mr and Mrs Berens for allowing use of the ground and the groundstaff for their continued fantastic work on the pitch.

Richard Hill
