Bentworth Speed Limits

Bentworth Speed Limits

The Parish Council has received the following message from Hampshire County Council:

Please find attached:

1. a copy of drawing TTE0584/1 outlining proposals for a new 40mph speed limit at Station Road to the north of Bentworth.

2. a copy of drawing TTE00583/1 outlining proposals for a new 40mph speed limit at Trinity Road between Bentworth and Medstead.

I would be grateful if you would consider these proposals and let me have your comments, in writing (ideally via reply to this e-mail), by Friday 20th November 2015. All comments received during this formal consultation period will be taken into account before proceeding to the next stage of the statutory Traffic Regulation Order procedure which would be the formal public advertisement. Please note that the local County Councillor, Mark Kemp-Gee, is supportive of these proposals, but the Police have indicated that they do not support them. Taking into account that part of the Trinity Road proposal is adjacent to the Bentworth/Medstead parish boundary, I am also consulting with Medstead Parish Council regarding this proposal.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further information regarding these proposals – please note that the proposals for Gateways in Station Road and Trinity Road, which have previously been discussed with Bentworth Parish Council, would be implemented at the same time as the proposed speed limits, subject to further discussions with the Parish Council regarding these Gateways.

I look forward to hearing from you.
