Bentworth Parish Council Meeting – 2nd April 2019

Bentworth Parish Council Meeting – 2nd April 2019

After several years of dedicated service to the Parish Council, Chairman David Hawes, Cllr Jenny Lewis, Cllr Paul Mellish and Cllr Abbie George have all decided not to stand in the upcoming May elections. On behalf of Bentworth Village I would like to thank all the Councillors for their commitment to the Parish over the years. For the interim period District Councillor Tony Costigan will take over as Chair.

There have been a lot of comments and suggestions regarding traffic management within the Village and at some point in the future I will organise a meeting for Parishioners to vote on any such measures. In the meantime I would be grateful if any suggestions you would like considered could be emailed to me at and I will start to compile a list for discussion.

It was agreed to hire a handy man to take on some of the jobs around the Village, and to that end Jason Giles was approved.

Finally the Village pond was discussed and everyone agreed how lovely it is starting to look. Final touches are now to remove the remaining fence and buy a new bench and a life buoy stand, both spends of which were approved at the meeting.

Allison Spyer – Clerk to the Council
