Possible Closure of Alton Recycling Centre

Due to cuts in spending HCC are considering closing several recycling centres in Hampshire. One of the centres at risk is Alton. Initially from the 1st January 2017 all recycling centres will be opening at 11am and be closed on Thursdays. If we are to stand any chance of saving the local centre it is necessary to sign a petition, such as http://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/save-alton-s-recycling-centre-1, write to your local MP or write to HCC or all three. If Alton closes the nearest centres are Bordon or Petersfield. The loss of this facility will almost certainly mean that we will see much more fly tipping along our lanes. ...
